Can I start by saying I am against this tax? There is already a portion amongst our tax that goes towards our water system, it was just charged before by income instead of usage. Commercial buildings pay water by usage already, too. Beyond that, repairs have been required for near a decade, the existing tax should have been marginally increased ten years ago instead of adding a phenomenal charge this year.
Why are you blocking the streets assholes? It took me two hours to make what should be a 45 minute commute in rush hour on public transport. Fuck you, protestors. They blocked O'Connell bridge, they blocked the tram service at O'Connell St and the Four Courts, they blocked Merchants Quay at Custom House... Fuck you, protestors. It makes it impossible for lowly tax payers like me to get to work and allows the politicians enforcing such taxes to sit comfortably in their lavish offices.
All I'm saying is you're going about it the wrong way. You're as big a pain in the ass as insensitive pro-life campaigners or Christians trying to convert Muslims... And how is it you can all afford the time off work? Maybe if you were busier earning money you'd manage to pay some tax.
You make me wanna wear a suicide vest,
